Cretan Komboloi Workshop

Children aged 6–12 are invited to discover the art and tradition of Cretan komboloi (worry beads) through a creative, hands-on workshop. Participants will learn about the history, materials, beads, colors, and techniques inspired by Cretan folk costumes. The two-hour workshop takes them from theory to practice, where they will create their own komboloi using beads, threads, and various color combinations. Organized by the Municipality of Chania's Culture Department with artistic facilitator Traiforos Phaedra and duende studio. Advance registration required.
