Crete researchers advance global effort to save endangered monk seals

Researchers at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), headquartered in Heraklion, have contributed to a significant international scientific milestone in the protection of the Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus), one of the world's most endangered marine mammals.
