At this magnitude, the tremor was very weak and is unlikely to have been felt by most people, even those near the epicenter. No damage or injuries are expected from an event of this size. Tourists visiting Palaiochora, Elafonisi beach, or other destinations in southwestern Crete can continue their plans without concern.
