Chania International Airport (Ioannis Daskalogiannis) continued normal operations following the incident, and no disruption to other flights was reported. Travelers flying into Chania should be aware that disruptive behavior on flights is taken seriously by Greek authorities and can result in immediate arrest upon landing. The airport serves as the main entry point for western Crete, including the popular destinations of Chania old town, Balos, and Elafonisi.
