Thrapsano has been a center of traditional pottery-making for centuries, and this annual festival celebrates that heritage by bringing together ceramic artists from Greece and abroad. Visitors can expect live demonstrations, workshops, exhibitions, and the opportunity to purchase handmade ceramics directly from artisans. The village is located approximately 25 kilometers southeast of Heraklion city, making it an easy day trip by car or local bus. This is a family-friendly cultural event and a good opportunity to experience one of Crete's most authentic craft traditions outside of the main tourist circuit.
