An unmanned sailboat ran aground at Frangokastello, a coastal area on the southern coast of Crete in the Sfakia region, during the morning hours. The Hellenic Coast Guard was notified and the local Port Authority is handling the situation. No passengers or crew were on board, and no injuries have been reported. Frangokastello is a popular destination known for its 14th-century Venetian fortress and sandy beach. Visitors planning to swim or boat near the area should be aware of the grounded vessel and follow any instructions from local coast guard authorities. The beach itself remains accessible, but water activities close to the grounding site may be restricted while the vessel is assessed and removed.
