The Kissamos Fire Service conducted the rescue operation, and the man was transported unconscious by EKAB, the Greek national emergency medical service.
Falasarna is known for its dramatic rocky coastline alongside its sandy beaches. Visitors are reminded to exercise caution when exploring the rock formations in the area, particularly near cliff edges and uneven terrain where footing can be unstable.
