North of the village Kounavi in province Pediada we meet the church of Saint John the Baptist ( Agios Ioannis Rigologos ) dedicated to the Beheading of Saint John The Baptist and Forerunner (celebr. August 29).

The church bears frescoes of the 14th century in relatively bad condition.
