Papaloukas beaches at Koufonissi

Southwest of the Roman theater of Lefki , the two beautiful beaches of Papaloukas are formed, Ano Papaloukas (upper) and Kato Papaloukas (lower). The beaches are amazing, with fine sand and crystal blue waters.

They are separated by a distinctive oblong rock with a whitish color. The name is Papaloukas is taken after a local plant with yellow flowers ( Cistanche phelypaea ) that comes out from the sand.
