USS Gerald Ford Departs Crete Unexpectedly Amid Fire and Allegations

The USS Gerald Ford aircraft carrier is departing Souda, Crete on Thursday morning at 10 AM following an incident involving fire and mounting allegations. The vessel will leave hastily, with investigation and repairs to be conducted in Croatia rather than at the Greek naval base.

The aircraft carrier is being temporarily replaced operationally by the USS George H.W. Bush as the situation develops.
