Olive Oil Prices Low in Crete - Agreement at €2.45 Amid Market Uncertainty

Thursday, 26 March 2026/SourceCretaOne/1 min read

Extra virgin olive oils in Crete are currently selling at €4.50-€4.60 per kilogram, as the Greek olive oil market faces sluggish conditions with reduced sales activity. Industrial olive oil transactions have continued, with an agreement reached on Thursday, March 19th at lower price points including €2.45 per kilogram.

The market uncertainty reflects broader challenges facing Cretan olive oil producers during this period. Antonis Bitsaki, president of the Agricultural Cooperative of Olive Oil Producers, is among industry leaders monitoring the evolving market conditions as sales volumes remain suppressed.
