The show takes place at the Nikos Xylouris Theatre, named after the legendary Cretan lyra player and singer born in Anogia, who died in 1980 and remains one of the most celebrated figures in Greek folk music. The performance celebrates his life and music, bringing his legacy back to his hometown through live art. Anogia is located approximately 37 kilometres south of Heraklion and is accessible by car in around 45 minutes. Visitors interested in attending should arrive early, as the village has limited parking. The event is a rare opportunity to experience authentic Cretan musical culture in a deeply meaningful setting.
