Back to newsA new Hilton property is planned for the Old Town of Chania, one of Crete's most visited historic districts. Called Hilton Chania Old Town Resort and Spa, the project is being developed by Hotelleading, whose COO Carlos Malliaroudakis has outlined plans focused on luxury hospitality, year-round operations, and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and events) tourism. The property is positioned to attract both leisure travelers and business visitors during the traditional off-season, which could broaden Chania's appeal beyond the peak summer months. For tourists, a Hilton presence in the Old Town signals improved high-end accommodation options within walking distance of the Venetian harbor, the covered market, and the historic mosque. No opening date has been officially confirmed, but the project reflects growing international investment in Crete's western tourism infrastructure.
