Back to newsElounda beach, on the northeastern coast of Crete, will host the first ever Beach Soccer Tournament on July 11 and 12, 2026. The event transforms the beach into a competitive sporting venue for two days, bringing together athletes and football fans for matches played directly on the sand.
Elounda is located approximately 12 kilometers north of Agios Nikolaos and is already one of the most visited coastal areas in Lasithi. Tourists staying in the region during those dates can expect a lively atmosphere along the waterfront, with crowds gathering to watch the games.
Entry to watch the tournament is expected to be open to the public. If you are visiting the Elounda or Agios Nikolaos area that weekend, the event offers a free, family-friendly activity alongside the beach.
