Five Books Celebrate Selino's Heritage and History in Crete

Five books celebrating the cultural identity of Selino, a historic region in southwestern Crete, will be presented at the Cultural Center of Chania this Thursday evening at 6:30 PM. The publications explore the heritage, traditions, and history of the Selino area, which covers the southwestern tip of the island and includes villages, Byzantine churches, and dramatic gorges largely off the main tourist trail. The event is open to the public and offers visitors an opportunity to learn about one of Crete's lesser-known but richly layered regions.
