Passenger traffic across the 14 regional Greek airports managed by Fraport Greece rose 6.0% in May 2026 compared to May 2025, with a total of 3.9 million passengers handled. This network includes Heraklion (HER) and Chania (CHQ), Crete's two main international airports. The increase signals strong and growing demand for travel to Greek island destinations this season.
