175 activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla arrived in Crete following an Israeli military intervention against their vessel in international waters. The ship, which was part of a pro-Palestinian aid convoy attempting to reach Gaza, was intercepted and redirected. Greek authorities received the activists upon arrival and are holding 2 individuals for questioning. The incident has no direct impact on tourist travel or infrastructure in Crete. Visitors to the island may notice an increased media and law enforcement presence at Cretan ports in connection with the event. Normal ferry, air, and road transport across Crete remains unaffected.
