Back to newsHeraklion municipality has signed a contract to begin the final phase of slope restoration works on Navarinou Street in the Fortezza neighborhood. Mayor Alexis Kalokairinos signed the agreement, moving the project into active construction. Fortezza is a residential area in Heraklion city, and the works involve stabilizing an embankment along this street. Visitors driving or walking in that part of Heraklion should expect some disruption in the area during the construction period. No completion date has been publicly announced yet. The project is part of ongoing urban infrastructure maintenance across the city.
