Two Cruise Ships Arrive in Chania, Bringing 660 Visitors

Tuesday, 23 June 2026/SourceCretaOne/1 min read
Two cruise ships arrived in the Chania region today, bringing over 660 visitors to the area. The Seabourn Quest docked at the historic Venetian Harbor in Chania's old town, while the Scenic Eclipse II sailed into Souda Bay, where it will remain overnight before departing. Tourists already in Chania should expect the old town, harbor promenade, and key sites such as the lighthouse and the covered market to be busier than usual today. The Venetian Harbor area in particular may see heavier foot traffic and longer waits at popular tavernas and cafes. Souda Bay visitors exploring the wider Chania region should plan accordingly. Cruise tourism in Chania has been growing steadily, and dual arrivals on the same day are becoming more common during the summer season.
