Back to newsThe municipal water authority of Chania (DEYACH) has announced a possible water supply interruption affecting the area between Kladisos and Glaros this Friday, July 4. The outage is linked to scheduled maintenance work on the OAK water network and is not the result of an emergency or infrastructure failure.
Tourists staying in hotels, villas, or apartments in the affected zone along the western outskirts of Chania city should check with their accommodation provider ahead of time. Most larger establishments maintain water reserves and may not be significantly impacted. However, if you are staying in a smaller rental or apartment, it is advisable to fill bottles and containers the night before as a precaution. The interruption is expected to be temporary. No specific restoration time has been confirmed yet.
