German Tourist Rescued After Stranding in Matala, Crete

A 74-year-old German tourist was rescued yesterday after becoming stranded in a rocky area near Matala, on the southern coast of Crete. The Kokkinos Pyrgos Port Authority coordinated the rescue operation after an alert was raised. The man was found in good health and was safely transported to Matala Bay.
