Passenger Arrested for Disruptive Flight Behavior in Heraklion

A 28-year-old passenger was arrested at Heraklion International Airport after becoming disruptive and unmanageable during a flight from Copenhagen to Heraklion. The incident caused significant distress to both crew members and fellow passengers on board. Upon landing, police from the airport authority detained the individual, who was subsequently transferred to a psychiatric clinic for evaluation. The flight arrived at Heraklion without further incident. Travelers flying into Heraklion should be aware that Greek airport police maintain a visible presence at the terminal and respond swiftly to in-flight disturbances. Disruptive behavior on flights is treated seriously under Greek law and can result in immediate arrest upon landing. No delays to other flights were reported as a result of the incident.
