Crete enjoys clear skies and 22°C as mainland Greece faces rain

Monday, 20 April 2026/SourceCretaOne/1 min read
Monday, April 20 brings mostly clear skies across Crete, with temperatures reaching a comfortable 22°C (72°F). Expect a few clouds around midday, particularly in some areas, but overall conditions remain pleasant throughout the day. While rain and unsettled weather are affecting mainland Greece and the Ionian islands, Crete stays largely dry. The eastern part of the island may see a slight temperature increase compared to the rest of Crete. These are ideal conditions for outdoor sightseeing, beach walks, and exploring archaeological sites. Light layers are recommended for the morning and evening, as temperatures can drop once the sun sets. No travel disruptions are expected due to weather. Visitors planning day trips to eastern Crete, including sites around Sitia or Ierapetra, can expect slightly warmer conditions than the north and west of the island.
