Coast Guard Rescues 134 Foreign Nationals South of Crete

The Hellenic Coast Guard conducted a series of rescue operations south of Crete, bringing 134 foreign nationals ashore at Kalos Limenes (Fair Havens), a small port on the island's southern coast. Operations were coordinated by the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) of the Hellenic Coast Guard Command. Port authorities were placed on high alert throughout the operations. Kalos Limenes is located along the southern coastline between Matala and Lendas.
