Farmers Can Transition to Normal Tax Regime Without Penalties

Thursday, 26 March 2026/SourceCretaOne/1 min read

The Greek Tax Authority (AAED) has announced new provisions for 2026 allowing farmers operating under special tax regimes to transition to the standard tax regime without incurring penalties. The directive, issued by AAED director Giorgos Pitsilis, aims to provide flexibility for agricultural enterprises seeking to normalize their tax status. The penalty-free transition does not apply to farmers already meeting the criteria to remain within the special agricultural regime.
