Firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Mournidion Street in Chania, located above the city's Courthouse district, after a solar water heater caught fire. Two fire service vehicles were dispatched to the scene. The incident was contained and did not spread beyond the property of origin. Mournidion Street sits in a residential area above the central Chania Courthouse, away from the main tourist zones of the Old Town and the Venetian Harbour. Visitors in the area may have noticed temporary emergency vehicle activity in that street. No road closures affecting tourist routes were reported.
