A tragic explosion rocked a home in Agia Paraskevi, Volos on Wednesday afternoon, claiming the lives of two women - a mother and daughter. The victims were burned so severely that identification proved difficult. A 39-year-old man, Christos Belos, attempted a desperate rescue of his mother and grandmother from the burning building but sustained serious burns to his head in the effort. He was hospitalized at Volos Hospital in critical condition.
