Quiet Hours Change from April 1st: New Rules and Penalties

Thursday, 26 March 2026/SourceCretaOne/1 min read

Greece will implement new summer quiet hours from April 1 through September 30, 2026, in accordance with Greek police legislation. The new regulations aim to ensure public order and protect citizens' daily routines during the warmer months.

Under the new rules, noise is prohibited during two specific periods: 15:00-17:30 (afternoon) and 23:00-07:00 (late night/early morning). These hours are designed to protect afternoon rest periods and night-time sleep. Violations of these quiet hours regulations carry legal penalties.

Residents and businesses should be aware of these restrictions to avoid fines.
