A short 3 km hike to the entrance of the Skotino Cave, one of the largest and most impressive caves in Crete with a massive entrance chamber. The hike from the village of Skotino follows a clear track. The cave itself is free to enter but bring a torch — it is unlit. Best all year. Carry 1 litre of water. The cave was used for Minoan ritual worship.
