Pantalassa Gorge

A lesser-known gorge of 4 km in the Sfakia region of western Crete, carved by a seasonal torrent through limestone terrain. The path is rough and unmarked in places — good footwear and a map are essential. Best visited in spring. No facilities, no water sources inside the gorge. Park at the village of Anopolis.
