Dikti Mountains Trail

A 10 km round trip in the Dikti (Lassithi) mountains of eastern Crete, reaching around 2,100m. The route starts from the Limnakaro plateau and offers sweeping views over the Lassithi plateau below. No technical climbing. Carry 2 litres of water — no sources on route. Best May to October. The Psychro Cave (Diktaean Cave) is a worthwhile detour at the base. Good hiking boots essential.
