Celebration of 'Geosite of the Year 2026' at Voulis Aloni

The UNESCO Geopark of Psiloritis celebrates the establishment of Voulis Aloni as 'Geosite of the Year 2026'. Join for a morning walk at 8:30 AM starting from Agios Georgios Stroumbula to explore the distinctive rock formations and karst features of the region. From 10:30 to 12:30 at Voulis Aloni, information booths from the Geopark, the Museum of Natural History of Crete, the Speleological Club of Crete, and the Cultural Association of Tylisos will present the area's geological and biological diversity. Visitors can experience rock climbing with the Cretan Climbing Community. The event concludes with the official announcement of Voulis Aloni as 'Geosite of the Year 2026'.
