Where the Stone Sings – From Rethymnic Song to Minore

A theatrical and musical journey featuring nine female voices and live orchestra, exploring the richness of Greek musical traditions. The performance traces a musical thread from Rethymnic songs through the Aegean, Mediterranean, Thrace, Asia Minor, the Pontos, Cyprus, and the Heptanese, reaching urban folk and rebetiko music. The female voice is celebrated as a carrier of memory, cultural heritage, and collective identity. Part of the Crete Festival 2026's parallel action 'Women – Cultural Heritage – Creation'.
