Genealogical Exhibition of the Manousaka-Vlanta Family
A special historical and genealogical exhibition will be presented on Tuesday, July 7 at 8:00 PM at the Sailing Club of Chania. The exhibition features 20 detailed genealogical trees documenting the family's evolution from 1770, when Captain Manousaka participated in the Daskaloyiannis Revolution against Ottoman rule. This multi-year research work presents documented evidence, names, family connections, and historical references, serving as a valuable testimony for local history and Crete's collective memory.
