Memorial Ceremony in Kakopetros
A ceremony honoring residents of Kakopetros executed during German occupation. The event is held on Sunday, August 23 at 11:00 a.m. at the Monument of Executed People in Kakopetros Square, organized by Platania Municipality, the Community, and the Cultural Association of Kakopetros. The program includes memorial prayers, historical speeches, wreath-laying, a minute of silence, and the national anthem. A second service follows at 12:00 p.m. at Ieronymakis I. Nikolaou's monument.
