Two-Day Commemorative Events in Malathyro

The Municipality of Kissamos, the Local Community of Malathyro, the Cultural Association, and the Church of Agios Georgios invite you to two-day commemorative events honoring and remembering the 82nd anniversary of the execution of 61 residents of Malathyro by German occupation forces on August 28, 1944. The events will take place on August 29–30, 2026, in Malathyro, Kissamos. This is an important occasion to pay tribute to the memory of those who lost their lives during the occupation of Crete.
