A weak magnitude 2.5 earthquake occurred in the Eastern Mediterranean, approximately 22 km south of Moires, Greece, on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 08:55 pm local time. The earthquake was reported by Volcano Discovery. The impact of the earthquake is not yet known, but it is considered to be a minor seismic event.

The earthquake's proximity to Moires, a town in the Heraklion regional unit of Crete, has raised awareness among local residents. However, no damage or injuries have been reported so far.
