Greece's Economic Confidence Edges Higher as Business Conditions Hold Steady

Thursday, 2 July 2026/SourceNaftemporiki/1 min read
Greece's economic confidence index rose slightly in June 2026, climbing to 108.3 points from 107.7 in May, according to the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE). Consumer confidence held steady at similar levels. The modest improvement reflects a broadly stable economic environment across the country, including Crete. For visitors, this means business conditions remain consistent: hotels, restaurants, tour operators, and shops are trading normally with no significant disruptions expected. Pricing and service availability across the island should remain stable throughout the summer season. The data suggests the Greek economy is on a gradual upward trajectory, which supports continued investment in tourism infrastructure and services that benefit travelers to Crete.
