This year's olive oil production in Chania has been unexpectedly good in terms of quantity, according to the Directorate of Agricultural Economy of the Regional Unit of Chania. 79% of the region's olive trees have been harvested, resulting in a large production of olive oil. However, the quality of the oil has been affected, with some losses reported.
