Saturday, 27 June 2026/SourceCretaOne/1 min read
The passenger and vehicle ferry KISSAMOS completed its scheduled route from Piraeus to Souda Bay, near Chania, after a grounding incident that occurred earlier in the morning off the island of Milos. The vessel resumed its journey following the incident and arrived at Souda port without further disruption. Souda Bay is the main ferry terminal serving the Chania region in western Crete. Travelers using this ferry connection between Athens (Piraeus) and Chania should monitor announcements from the ferry operator for any schedule changes on upcoming departures, as post-incident inspections may affect future sailings. Passengers with tickets on this route are advised to check directly with the operator before travel.
