An electricity pole owned by the Public Power Corporation (DEH) collapsed on Andrianou Street in the Kallithea neighborhood of Heraklion. A driver narrowly avoided serious injury when the pole came down. Police responded to the scene and the area experienced disruption during the incident. If you are driving or walking in the Kallithea district of Heraklion, be aware that road conditions near Andrianou Street may be temporarily affected while authorities and DEH crews assess and repair the damage. Fallen infrastructure can occasionally block lanes or require detours, so allow extra time if your route passes through that area. Check local traffic updates before heading into central Heraklion.
