Trail Loutro - Anopolis

A very demanding trail due to very high slope is the old mule track that once linked the picturesque harbor of Loutro with the town of Anopolis . It can, however, be much easier if you start from Anopolis and go down to Loutro .

In any case the panoramic view to the sea and to Loutro is breathtaking. The route from Anopolis to Loutro starts from the chapel of Agia Ekaterini (St Cathreen), at an altitude of 650 meters, where there is a small Turkish fort.

The place is reached via an asphalt road from Anopolis (about 2km long). The path from there to Loutro is about 3km (about 1-1.5 hours) and the path is stretched in consecutive zigzags to cope with the steep slope.
