Thripti pine wood

Thripti pine wood is located at an altitude of 850m, above Pahia Ammos in Lassithi Prefecture, and has unfortunately shrunk due to fires. One of its most well preserved parts extends east from the beginning of the Ha Gorge to the western slopes of the peak Stavromenos , while another large area is located in the area of Skinokapsala and Orino at Sitia province.

The scenic village of Thripti , the surrounding wild gorges, the hiking trails and the archaeological sites, the old chapels are the top attractions for the visitors of the place.
