The incident occurred on a road close to the airport, a busy route frequently used by tourists traveling between Chania city and the airport. While the driver has been freed, the case remains under review by authorities.
Tourists renting cars or using taxis near Chania Airport should be aware that this road can see aggressive driving. Exercise caution, keep a safe following distance, and allow extra travel time when heading to or from the airport.
