A decomposed body was found in an advanced state of decay in a rocky and inaccessible area near Afrata in Chania on Wednesday afternoon. Authorities, including the Police and Coast Guard, were notified of the discovery and responded to the scene.
The remains were transported to Chania Hospital for further examination. Investigators are working to determine the cause of death and identify the deceased.
