The Mayor of Heraklion, Alexis Kalokayrinos, attended the anniversary exhibition titled "We Write History!" marking 100 years since the founding of the Union of Daily Newspaper Editors of Peloponnese, Epirus and Islands (E.S.I.E.P.I.N.). Kalokayrinos acknowledged the decisive role journalists play in documenting and preserving history, pledging municipal support for their continued efforts to "write history" through journalism.
