Around 20 British passengers who were removed from the cruise ship MV Hondius following a norovirus outbreak onboard are beginning to be discharged from hospital, where they had been held in quarantine. The passengers were evacuated from the vessel after the illness spread among those onboard. Health authorities confirmed the discharges are proceeding as patients recover. Tourists currently on cruise itineraries stopping in Crete should be aware that norovirus can spread quickly in shared spaces.
