The event explores the history of Crete's police force during the Ottoman period and the era of the autonomous Cretan State, which preceded the island's union with Greece in 1913. This is a free public event open to anyone with an interest in Cretan history. The Cultural Center is located in central Chania, within easy walking distance of the Old Town and Venetian Harbor. The seminar is expected to be conducted in Greek. Visitors interested in attending should arrive a few minutes early, as seating may be limited.
