The Minoan mansion of Sklavokambos was discovered in 1930, while constructing the main road to Anogia and a part of it was destroyed by these works. It is a multiple-story building with a main room where a clay ox head was found, along with a Late Minoan IB period style jug and a stone rhyton .
The building had at least 17 rooms. The findings from an upper story included 39 sealings (stamps), a cylindrical vessel, a stone hammer and a clay foot.
Representations from one the Sklavokambos stamps have been found in Zakros , Gournia and Hagia Triada . No frescoes or gypsum finishings were found at the Sklavokambos building, which are commonly found in Minoan palaces.
