Ler a história
At an altitude of 705m, between the village Ano Moulia and the ruined village of Raftis , at a point that controls the plane of Messara , after 1866, Avni Pasha built a large defensive tower ( koule ) for controlling the passage to Messara and to protect Raftis , which was a Muslim village. The ground plan of Koules has shape T with the longest part being the cantonment area while the shortest hosted three rooms, of which two still preserve their roof.
A characteristic feature of the fort are the arched entrances to the fort, quite unusual for a fortress. In close distance we see a building of the same period, apparently an auxiliary building, today used as a stable.
